New York Star Rangers Artemi Panarin and Madison Square Garden paid a financial agreement to a former team employee who claims that Panarin sexually assaulted her, According to a athletics report. The alleged incident dates to December 2023, when the Rangers were in a hotel during a road trip.
The woman claimed that during a postgame meeting at the hotel, Panarin took the phone and told him that he would only return him if he visited his room. According to the woman, when she went to recover the phone, Panarin fixed her in bed. The woman says she pushed the rangers forward and left the room.
Three months after the alleged incident, the female employee was under an investigation by a separate incident that involved his allegedly sharing anti-backed medicine with a player who was afraid of flying. It was then that the woman explained to the Rangers the alleged assault of Panarin.
Last August, Panarin and MSG reached an agreement with the woman, whose work was over with the team. According to athletics, the settlement had no dissemination and there was no admission to delicate clauses.
When a MSG statement was asked, a spokesman said, “The matter has been resolved.”
Since the liquidation was reached, Panarin has directed the Rangers in goals (37), assists (52) and points (89) in the 2024-25 season. On Wednesday, Panarin was appointed Team MVP by local media members.
