NHL Star Power Index: Auston Matthews thrives offensively for Toronto, Jesper Bratt continues to pace Devils

Welcome to the Nhl Index Power Star: A weekly caliber of players who control a substantial buzz around the league. When a player is included in this list, it may not be good, it means that they capture a lot of attention from the world of hockey.

These players do not have any particular order when it comes to the amount of buzzer they create. We will review the Power Star index every week during the regular season.

Auston Matthews was struck to start the season, but eventually it seems that he hit his passage by going down the stretch of house.

Matthews has scored four goals and attendance during his last four games, including an impressive performance on St. Patrick’s Day in a 6-2 victory against Calgary’s flames.

In the Monday contest, Matthews accumulated the three points in the second period, which was his eleventh three -point race. In addition, it was its 36th multi-goal period, placing it on the list of all Maple Leafs in this category.

At the mark of 15:41 of the second period, the Maple Leafs found themselves in the power game and showed fantastic patience. Forward William Nylander undoed a blocked shot, but shit came out again.

When he turned his post, Nylander found Matthews camped in the face circle. Matthews surveyed the landscape before sending a shot rocket just above Flame’s shoulder, Dustin Wolf’s goalkeeper.

Just over three minutes later, Mitch Marner was able to make a diving game to keep the shit in the offensive area while the maple leaves were in the game of power. Matthews ended the shit near the face circle before passing it to Nylander. After waiting for a lane to open, Nylander launched the puck on Matthew Knies behind the network, which Matthews found in the face circle for an overwhelming timer.

Matthews has scored four goals in his last four games, as he followed the Monday competition with a goal in a 2-1 victory against the Avalanche de Colorado Tuesday.

Matthews is definitely hot at the right time, considering that maple leaves are blocked with Florida panthers for the upper Playoff site in the Atlantic Division. If Matthews can continue to be the Savant Savar, that the Nhl It has become accustomed to see, maybe maple leaves can finally go to the Stanley Cup this spring.

The New Jersey Devils are a little hand without star Jack Hughes, while the Playoffs of the Stanley Cup are approaching. As a result, the Winger Jsper Bratt has been even more than the offensive load lately and is producing at the elite level.

Bratt recently brought together a four -game streak in which he accumulated three times actions.

Bratt recently became the sixth player in Devils History in registering at least three points in three consecutive games. He also became the third player who won the feat in the last 30 years when he joined Jack Hughes and Ilya Kovalchuk.

In a 2-1 victory against Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, Bratt found the back of the network for the third time in four games, which ended up being the difference.

At the 2:14 PM, Jet Greaves, the Blue Jackes goalkeeper, was trying to play on the network behind his own network, but bounced off the back of the network. This is where Bratt was able to capitalize on as he took his loose fist and turned him on the net before Greaves could put himself again.

Bratt leads the devils at points (80) and attends (60), as he is still one of the most dynamic players in the Eastern Conference. It also happens in New Jersey when it comes to Power-Play Assist (26).

Being without Hughes was a devastating blow for the devils, but this is a team that could still be the second seed of the metropolitan division that reaches the time of Playoff. If Bratt is able to continue to be the facilitator who has all season, this will be a very dangerous group in the Playoffs of the Stanley Cup.

Cale Makar is in a tremendous beginning in March and has the evaluation of Colorado as a threat to the western conference.

Makar scored three goals and 10 attendance in nine games this month, including a goal and four assists during his last three games. Recently, the Defender of Avalanche recorded a goal and two attendance in a 4-3-hour victory against Dallas Stars on Sunday.

Makar won three or more points per seventh time this season and became one of the new defenders in the history of the League to achieve this feat in three different seasons. He became the first defender to do it since the former -New York Rangers star, Brian Leetch.

The star of Avalanche also promoted 1.08 points per game in his career and became one of the only four defenders on average at least one point per contest of his career (minimum of 100 games). Only Bobby Orr (1.39), Harry Cameron (1.10) and Paul Coffey (1.09) promised a clip as a blue liner.

Makar provided some theaters to Sunday’s game, as he scored the winner of the game in overtime.

Only 34 seconds from the additional session, Avalanche won a neutral zone clash and Makar did the rest. After posing the draw, striker Nathan Mackinnon, Avalanche, raised the ice before leaving Makar in front of the blue line. Once Makar received the shit, he hooked his passage through the defense of the stars and dragged a shot under the blocker of goalkeeper Jake Oettinger for the game winner.

Makar could be on the line of winning the second Norris Trophy of his career. Currently, the Avalanche Blue-Liner leads all NHL proponents in points (79), goals (25) and assists (55) with the star of Columbus Blue Jackets Zach Werenski and Vancouver Canucks, Quinn Hughes is probably his highest competition.

Filip Gustavsson of Minnesota Wild, continued his recent career this week with one of his most impressive performances of the season.

Gustavsson set aside the 34 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory against Seattle Kraken on Wednesday. The spectacular showcase was its fifth disposition this season and tied it by second among all the goalkeepers of the NHL in the descents (5).

In doing so, Gustavsson passed the second season in a single season in the history of the team. According to NHL Edge data26 -year -old Netminder also published his 31st party in which he had a savings percentage of .900 or higher, which is third among the NHL goalkeepers behind only Connor Hellebuyck (38) and Andrei Vasilevsky (33).

Gustavsson has reduced a 5-2-0 record, a 1.73 goals in the average and a percentage of .940 in seven games this month. In addition to Wednesday’s departure, Gustavsson also stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 3-1 victory against the Kings of Los Angeles.

If Gustavsson can continue to play anywhere near this level, the savage should be linked to the playoff by the end of this season.
