Lionel Messi was back on Sunday at the score sheet for Inter Miami and noted the team’s equalizer in the first half of their MLS match against Toronto FC thanks to an impressive strike with his left foot.

Telasco Segovia takes its way around Toronto’s defense in the fifth minute of the first half of the stop time before the ball goes to Messi on the edge of the penalty area. The world cup winner grabbed and had the ball bounce so that he could get control of it when it came down. From there, Messi turned his body and hit the ball hard with his left foot and quickly sent it to the right corner of the goal.

Before the goal entered, Gonzalo Lujan of Miami was suspected of committing a handball, but the referee team did not assess the event.

Messi’s goal marked a quick response after Miami had admitted the opening goal of the match only three minutes earlier. Toronto, the penultimate team in the Eastern Conference, managed to play a competitive first half with Miami and first scored thanks to Federico Bernardeschi.

Miami has surpassed Toronto 12 to eight in the first half, but the visitors managed to have more meaningful scoring options, so that the supporters supporters winners from 2024 were taken over 1.88 to 0.49. That does not mean that Miami was without their chances – about 20 minutes before Messi scored, he put the ball at the back of the net, but the goal was excluded for an error during the piece.

The strike was Messi’s third of the season in MLS and sixth in all competitions.
