Patrick Roy, a coach of the New York Islands, did not put the words when his striker Anthony Duclair was raised after the loss of the team 4-1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

“He was bewildered. He was bewildered. He had a bad game. That’s why I didn’t play him much. And he’s lucky to be in the program. I’m sorry if I lose him right now, but so I feel,” Roy said.

Roy continued to say he is worried about the effort Duclair has recently provided when he is on the ice.

“She is not skating, she does not compete, she does not move her feet. She is not playing what we expect from him,” added Roy.

In total, Duclair was in the ice at 12:15 in the game on Tuesday and ended with a rating -1. Duclair ended up registering only four total shifts in the third period and marked the third consecutive game in which Duclair played 12:15 or less. In his first season with New York, Duclair had an average of 15:03 of the total ice time.

In 44 games this season, Duclair has won only seven goals and four assists, while also producing a rating of -15. Duclair has registered only three goals for the last two months, including only one in his last 12 competitions. The 29 -year -old signed a four -year contract of $ 14 million with the islanders at the Free Agency this past summer, which includes a complete trade without trade.

Duclair lost two months before this season due to a leg injury.

The islanders are fighting for their playoff’s life, as they are currently five points behind the Montreal Canadiens for the final place of Wild Card at the Eastern Conference. They have lost six consecutive games with four of the rulers.
