Christian Pulisic scored a brace during the 3-2 comeback victory of AC Milan on Saturday against Lecce, and possibly saved the task of Sergio Conukicao, who could have dismissed a defeat during the weekend. AC Milan gave two goals to Lecce before he scored the comeback in the second half thanks to his own goal from Lecce’s defender Antonio Gallo and the brace scored by the American Star.

Pulisic only scored a penalty for a few minutes before he made the network, that the purpose of the decision that Ockicao gives more time to work with the team and breaks a series of three loss in a row in the last three Serie A matches before Saturday.

Despite the reaction, it is unlikely that AC Milan will expand their relationship with the Portuguese manager after the end of the current season, although he was only appointed at the end of December after the dismissal of Paulo Fonseca. Due to some of his decisions on and next to the field and the negative results, the Rossoneri are currently out of the Champions League and not in the race for a place in the top four.

The disappointment now leads the owner, the American businessman Gerry Cardinale, to make some changes to the club for the coming season, since conversations for a new sports director have started the last days, according to several reports. Both Redbird adviser Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani are working to choose the right person to lead the sports side of the team in the future, but it is not clear who makes the final decision, increasing the confusion of the fans.

Former Lazio Front Office Man Igli Tare, Fabio Paraticians and former Atletico Madrid director Andrea Berta are in conversation for the job, because the new sports director will also be in charge of the decision about the new manager. On Saturday, La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that the Italian giants are in conversation with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri to make his comeback at AC Milan, where he was the manager from 2010 to 2014.

AC Milan is already trying to rebuild the future, while the current season is still not over, because the Rossoneri will be confronted in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia 2024-25 next month, are still in the race to play at least in a European tournament next season. It is clear that the club has to solve their problems at the highest management levels before making concrete plans on the field, otherwise the confusion of this season, which is about to end, would persist for an indefinite period of time.
