The Washington Star Capital, Alex Ovecchkin Nhl History. The legendary striker has already recorded his name in the story, but he continues to pursue the record for the objectives of all Wayne Gretzky.

Now, at the age of 39, Ovecchkin is about to become the leader of the NHL’s goals, and Gretzky’s 894 mark may pass before the end of the season. Currently, the standard of capitals has 888 career goals after he scored his 35th of the season in the first period of Washington’s 3-2 victory over Philadelphia Flyers on March 20.

After not marking the Florida Panthers on Saturday, he now needs seven more goals in the remaining 12 games in Washington to achieve the Gretzky record this season. This is a rate of 0.58 goals per game from now until the last regular game of the season.

The good news is that it is less than its marker pace this season, which is 0.65 goals per game. The bad news is that it still leaves a zero margin by mistake. If Ovecchkin continues to mark at its current pace, break the Gretzky record on April 17, the last day of the regular season.

Ovechkin currently has 1,607 total points (888 goals, 719 assists) in his career. On March 9, Ovechkin became the eleventh player in NHL history to reach 1,600 points.

Ovechkin scored 42 goals during the 2022-23 season and scored at least 41 goals in 13 of his 19 seasons of the NHL.

He made history in 2023-24 when he recorded a record of the NHL 18th season of 30 Go, going on 17th by Mike Gartner for honor. He is now up to 19 years old for his career.
