Sportsline estimates that Ovechkin probably breaks the record somewhere between April 12 and 17. The 39 -year -old has 11.35% break the record on April 12 against the blue jackets of Columbus. This number is slightly higher on April 13 when the caps are adopted in blue jackets. The most likely time for the break, according to the data, is April 15 against the islanders at 15.18%.

Ovechkin has scored three goals during his last six games and alternated competitions in which he scored these goals. The capital star has scored six goals in 12 games in March.
