Concacaf announced on Thursday that the Canada head coach Jesse Marsch suspended for two games after his behavior at the Concacaf Nations League Finals in March, when he received a red card during third place against the national team of the American gentlemen.

Marsch was sent during the second half of Canada’s 2-1 victory over the USMNT after an eruption aimed at the referee who saw him enter the playing field. He was forced to view the rest of the game from the stands and will do this again this summer after a disciplinary assessment of the North -American football confederation.

“The disciplinary committee has imposed a suspension of one match on Mr. Marsch for unacceptable behavior towards the competition officials and for postponing the restart of the game by refusing to leave the playing field,” a statement of Concacaf partly read read. “The sanction now includes a total of two games, including the automatic suspension of one match for the direct red card on the field. … The Disciplinary Committee has also warned the Canadian Soccer Association and Mr. Marsch that more serious sanctions could be taken if incidents could occur in future competitions.”

Marsch will miss the first two games of Canada’s Run at the Concacaf Gold Cup, which starts in June. Canada starts the tournament against Honduras on June 17 at the BC Place of Vancouver before he was confronted with Curacao on June 21 in Houston’s Shell Energy Stadium.
