While hundreds of elite former women’s university basketball stars have heard their names called since the first WNBA design in 1997, one program stands above the rest of the school list that created the most rounds. This is Uconn, the twelve -time national program of victory in the National Championship. Huskies had 28 selections from the first round, which is by far the country.
In the design of WNBA 2025, Dallas Wings chose UConn’s Paige Bueckers at No. 1 overall.

Five total tips No. 1 UConn are Sue Bird (2002, Seattle Storm), Diana Taurasi (2004, Phoenix Mercury), Tina Charles (2010, Connecticut Sun), Maya Moore (2011, Minnesota Lynx), Breanna Stewart (2016, Seattle Storm) and Paige (2025, Dallas Wings).
