Ranking Champions League quarterfinal matchups: Barca vs. Dortmund and Real Madrid vs. Arsenal don’t top list
The last eight teams in the UEFA Champions League of this season are officially locked up after an exciting finish of the Tour of 16, which still tease an entertaining series of competitions as teams that are closer to the final of May 31 in Munich. This season’s quarterfinalists have a lot of experience in the later stages of the European top club competition, with the list of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Some parties with less recent experience also made the cut – Arsenal is only the last eight for the second time in 15 years, while Aston Villa will compete for the first time in four decades in the quarterfinals. Despite the stacked field, each tie demonstrably has a clear choice of oddmakers – even when they are the small favorites – but tight margins probably feel, because each team looks a place in the semi -final.

4. Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund is perhaps last year’s finalists, but this season has not been very nice for them. Their European campaign has been a postponement of their Underwhelming Bundesliga campaign, but Dortmund feels like the clear underdogs against Barcelona. Hansi Flick has turned a chaotic team into a real competition for large titles in Spain and in Europe, making them currently the favorites of the Oddmakers to win the whole thing. The responsibility is on Barcelona to realize the hype, of course, but with Lamine Yamal in the neighborhood and Raphinha in the form of his life, it is difficult not to predict a fairly easy outing for the leaders of La Liga. Barca finally went to Dortmund and won 3-2 in December.
3. Inter vs. Bayern Munich
This is a matchup that brings the classic prestige of the Champions League and, just like the others, offers a chance for both parties to really prove their value as a candidate for the whole thing. The pressure on Bayern Munich to bring the entertainment, but they can be able to win the Bundesliga, but are fairly inconsistent in the Champions League, which means that a matchup against Inter will be a difficult one. The Italian champions have been one of Europe’s most consistent teams this season and are starting to make a business as a Dark Horse community service to win the Champions League, and a draw against a vulnerable Bayern side could favor them.
2. Real Madrid vs. Arsenal
This is perhaps the most focus -seeking band of the couple and not just because of the star seeds of Real Madrid. The intrigues of this matchup is that the Champions League Arsenal’s last chance remains to win a trophy this season, no matter how unlikely it is, which means that the Gunners can offer Real Madrid a stiff test. The ruling champions seem to peak at the right time after an inconsistent competition phase outing and can win this draw with few complications, but they will undoubtedly have to prove their value first.
1. Paris Saint-Germain vs. Aston Villa
In another year this may not be the most exciting knockout draw, but keep an argument in favor of both teams. After playing and eliminating Liverpool in the round of 16, Paris Saint-Germain came out surprisingly as the best team left in the Champions League, so it’s official time to see how far they can go. It feels almost certain that they keep the entertainment levels high in the quarterfinals, although they will come across an Aston Villa side with their own sales arguments. The side of Unai Emery has been revived this winter after adding Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford to their books, making the English side an intriguing team to look in itself.
Moreover, there is just so much story behind this draw. Emery will be confronted with his former club, while he and his counterpart Luis Enrique were in charge of La Remontada, when Enrique’s Barcelona Emery’s PSG 6-1 defeated to overcome a shortage of four goals of the first stage in the Tour of 16 in 2017. Moreover, Asensio is a point of Villa. In the end, however, the nicest team in the Champions League will advance or the competition will have its biggest upset of the tournament. For a neutral that is a win-win.
