No. 4 North Carolina, No. 9 Virginia lose series in ACC baseball opening weekend
For some teams on a college baseball meant a weekend 7-9. March the beginning of the conference game. This included ACC, which saw two TOP-10-rated teams to fall on Friday and Sunday to start a conference game on a rocky note.

UNC went back into the game two and beat Stanford 11-1 in seven shifts. Four players ended up with two or more RBIs.
