2025 NCAA women’s hockey championship bracket announced
Indianapolis – The National University Female Hockey Committee today announced the field of 11 teams that will compete at the 24th Championships in the National College Women’s Hockey.
The top five teams are deployed in the holder, while the first four seeds host a regional competition. The regional semifinals will be played on 13 March with the regional finals of March 15. The winning team from each regional finals will advance to 2025 by the frozen four NCAA for the frozen four March at the Ridder Arena in Minneapolis in Minnesota with Minnesota serving as host.
Five conferences were awarded for the 2025 tournament. The remaining six teams were selected. Automatic qualifications are Penn State, Cornell, Boston University, Sacred Heart and Wisconsin. Teams selected in a large place are Clarkson, Colgate, Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, Ohio State and St. Lawrence. Sacred Heart is the only team in the field to become the first tournament, while Boston U. has first appeared since 2015.
Wisconsin enters the tournament as seed no. 1 and on Thursday in the Labahn Arena between Clarkson and Boston U. Ohio State, Seed No. 2, will host the winner of the regional semifinals between Penn State and St. Lawrence, which will be held on Thursday at Ohio State Ice Rink and will play the winner of the regional semifinals.
Cornell enters the tournament as seed no. Seed No. 4 Minnesota will host Colgate seed no. All game times will be updated and published on NCAA.com.
Both national semi -final games will be broadcast on Friday, March 21. The first semifinal will be broadcast on ESPN+ at 17:00 East time, the second semifinals will also be broadcast on ESPN+ at 20:30 East time.
The National Championship game will take place at 16:00 East Time, Sunday, March 23, at Espnu. The 2024 championship was played in Durham, New Hampshire with Ohio State, which captured the title based on 1-0 victory over Wisconsin in the matches of four women’s 2023 championships.
