MLB’s unbreakable records: Will anyone touch Joe DiMaggio’s hitting streak? Barry Bonds’ home run total?
Another major league baseball season is approaching. In any season we can dream of some posts, and there are many notes and record fluctuations, we will absolutely see a lot.
Of course, being baseball, as old as it was, and in certain ways, there are notes that will not be touched. Now I will try to run with more basic posts that will not be broken soon and I’m actually comfortable saying they will never break.
Introducing a non-exhaustive list of some funny baseball records.
Explosion statistics, decoration
There are really obvious attacks that never approach even the threats of how the game developed over the years. Just look at these.
Complete games of one season. 75, white will be in 1879. Starting pitchers who are lucky enough to avoid injury and are on top of the place these days. Double that and fill in every start and we are still quite shy here. On that note …
Full career games. 749, CY Young. For some context, the Yerrit Cole is 34 years old and has been rotated since the age of 22. He is a 317 career. He has eight complete games.
In one season, he wins. 60, Old Hoss Radbors 1884. Again, full-time snacks now capture the ball 33 times if they are successful.
Career wins. 511, CY Young. The active leader of the winners is Ashtin Verdzer for 262. He is 41 years old and can even reach 270.
One seasonal places are drilled. 680 will be white in 1879. I realize that MLB He tries to start the starting pitcher to take more busy work and make them more “main character” again, but … Six hundred and eighty?
Career’s ones have passed. 7,356, CY Young. Vrandarian is the active leader 3,415. Max Sherzer is the second – 2,878. Combine them and it’s not close yet.
In the further context, Nolan Ryan was placed in parts 27 (!) Methods and was labor, graduating with its own 222 times. He still completed about 2,000 seconds for about 2,586 seconds in his career.
One seasonal strikes. Matt Kilroy, 513 in 1886 I think we’ll see 300 again but more than 500 is fierce. If we wanted to make a “modern” record (after the hook was taken to 60 feet, he was Ryan in 1973, and I don’t feel like a big stretch right now.
Career strikes. 5,714, Ryan. I don’t think anyone is going to get there, although the strikes explode these days. See above the past holes. I just can’t see someone goes long enough. Randy Johnson barely received between 1000.
Coverage Rate Statistics:
Now it should be noted that the guards have long accommodated at the threshold of the statistics, as well as it should be. With pitching, it’s 1000 career locations. In one season, the qualifying round is one who has done at least one job in a team game, so it is clearly the modern pitchers should reach 162.
Career Age: 1.82, Ed Walsh. It’s hard to see everyone employs 1000 seconds through a lower sign. I realize the changes in the game over time, but if anything, the next baseball revolution makes the runs of runs easier, no more difficult.
One seasonal era. This one is complicated. The Negro League data is incomplete that continues with continued research, but in 1944 Robert Kane installed 0.64 era, but it was also recorded at 28 registered data. In 1932, Roy was glorifying 0.83 Age in 54 seconds we know. On the side of the MLB, but in 1880, only 83 team games. Tim Keith had a 0.86 era in 105 seconds. Finally, we bring us to Leonard of Leonard in 224, 1914.
Choose where you want there, and it seems to be pretty damn perfect, even Paul Skenes playing field in the 1.96 era as a rookie.
Plate Average / hit
“Qualification” The total number of dishes of the plate is 3.1 for each team game, so in the 162 game season that comes out of 502.
In this day and age, pitchers are better than ever in terms of their clean stuff. They throw harder than ever the most difficult balls and the largest arsenal of games, the game has ever seen. Not only that, but the calenders seem to roll the collection line that throw the upper 90s with fast speed soils. These belated courtes are taken against fresh pitchers, instead of such items, instead of the starting pitcher, seeing the composition for the fourth or even fifth time. It makes a big difference. Protective players have a larger and better weapon than ever.
As such, certification slips. People love to hit the “approach” of strikers and let those people allow a little leeway, but it is strong to ignore the talent high level, the team, as well as a better scout these days.
Anyway is running. Let’s get to the statistics.
Career Batting Medium. .366, TY COBB. C’mon. That’s unaccountable. Right? Of course, even if MLB continues to change the rules to help .366 Career average monthly.
One seasonal swim medium. Again, the inclusion of NEGRO league interest rate offers us some fun reviews. Tetelo Vargas hit .471 in 136 plate data since 1943. When I go for the holiday season, we find Hugh Dafi hit .440 616 Plate in 1894. In 1924.
However, it doesn’t matter because I don’t think anyone will ever hit .400 again in the whole season, which is similar to the current rules. Perhaps some rules would make it more accessible to Luis Artáez. But I would be very suppressed to think that she reaches up to 425.
Career hits. Pete rose, 4,256. The active leader is now Freddie Freeman – 2,267. Think about what he has been for a long time. She is 35 years old and she’s past the past half. This one is eternity.
One season hit. Ichiro Suzuki, 262, in 2004 However, this can be aggressive by me. Last year, Bobby Witt have had 211 hits, and if MLB changes the rules to allow more crime, maybe it is possible. I could be sure of here.
How Joe Dimaggio 56-game stranding layer?
Again, knowing everything we know now and look at the current game, you actually think that everyone can wear 57 straight games together. Arreaz is an old school hit car that is a ton that doesn’t keep the bats and often doesn’t walk. His longest career striking layer is 14 games.
In the 2000s, MLB saw only 11 strips of at least 30 games and only three to just three.
It’s hard to see that everyone has ever reached 57.
Electricity statistics
Career triple. 309, Sam Crawford. Only eight players have even reached 200. The last player received a music, 177 to reach the last season, and despite the end of the last season. Charlie Blackmon With … 68.
One season triple. Owen Wilson, 36, in 1912. In the 2000s, only one player was even more than 20 (Curtis Grandson on 23, 2007).
Career’s house runs: 762, Barry Bonds. I think some people would like to say that the Hank Aaron’s 755 is a “real” record, and though it’s not right, I’m humorous here. No one else is going to get home to 750 career, runs again, at least not as long as any of us is alive. You will notice that I still included a sign of one season. I could have fully see how the Prime Minister Iancarlo Stanton or Prime Aaron Judge Re-Re-Re-Get enough to reach 74 house runs. I just don’t think that the level of dominance needed during a career will happen again. Remember that a player should have an average of 37.5 households to reach 750 home runs. And it would not yet put the record.
One season RBI. Hack Wilson in 1930. No. In no way. Manny Ramirez reached 165 in 1999 and it looks even insane. The highest RBI total in the drug test, which we have seen, is 156 years old from Alex Rodriguez.
I’m not on the list of Career RBI because Albert Pows has received the Aaron’s Aharon’s writing on 100, and A-Rod came in just 200. is inevitable. ”
Having a basis
Again, these are among the “qualified” players, so the needs of a career look like 3,000 plates, and in a season it looks like a 3.1 plate for one team game.
Based on his career. .482, Ted Williams. It’s just an absolutely breathing state. Williams was not far enough to reach a base half of his career. Joey Votto recently retired and was a base car. Through his nine-year-old Prime Minister, he headed the league seven times. In that period, his unexp was made .436. In his career. It was .409. The active leader is Juan Soto right now, and we know how surprising he is in the base. He is now .421.
Single-Season OBP. .609, Barry Bonds 2004. Get discovery here. Even Williams came out .553. The leader last season was a judge at 458 or more than 150 points.
Stolen grounds
Major League Baseball has recently changed the rules to make it a little easier to become grounds. It’s a worthy goal, because the base steal is one of the more funny baseball aspects, especially when you personally watch. Back in 2023 Ronald Aska Jrop.
Without even more drastic changes, it is terribly difficult to see Ricky Henderson, Goat. Baserunner and Leadoff Hitter and, good, personality, here is failing.
One seasonal stolen grounds, modern era. Rickey Henderson, 130 1982
One seasonal stolen grounds. Hugh Nicole, 138 in 1887
Career stolen grounds. Rickey Henderson is 1,406. Lou Brock is second with 938, and only nine other players in history have even more steals as Ricky.
All this feels quite safe.
Ironman layer
CAL RIPKEN JR 2,632 consecutive games play Streak never go anywhere. It is equivalent to 16.247 full, 162 game seasons without ever vacation day. Very few MLB players have ever had the opportunity to play even 16 seasons, albeit I had never been one day for one day.
