Liverpool’s search to win the Premier League title took another step in the right direction on Sunday, where the side of Arne Slot Manchester City beat 2-0 to take an 11-point lead on top of the table with 11 Competitions to go on their schedule.
The growing gorge of the Reds on top of the table went hand in hand with the impressive season of Mohamed Salah, and Sunday was no exception. The Egypt International has recorded its 23rd Premier League goal of the season and now has 41 target contributions this campaign, seven shortage of Alan Shearer’s number of season in the 1994-95 campaign. However, Liverpool’s big victory was not just about the Excellency of Salah. From the second goal of Dominik Szoboszlai to the performances of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister’s Show in midfield, James Benge writes that it was a good job.
- Curvature: “City was perhaps the most important architects of their problems for the goal, but Liverpool was all too willing to help them. Ryan Gravenberch and Mac Allister were calmly personified for the back four. Nothing came in the middle. Everyone in a red shirt Was willing to fall back and go out.
The 11 -point lead of Liverpool comes with the warning that they have played a game than the rest of their title candidates, but the list of teams that feel reasonably in the mix is decreasing. The second place Arsenal herself did not affect Saturday, fell to 10 and lost 1-0 to West Ham United. The lead of the Reds is currently not mathematically overcoming in the season, but even on their imperfect days they find ways to win, unlike every team around them. If it was never before, it is certainly the case now – this is the title of Liverpool to lose, and it looks increasingly unlikely that they will do that.

The national team of American women won another victory on Sunday and defeated Australia 2-1 in Shelieves Cup promotion while head coach Emma Hayes continues to embrace the spirit of experiments.
Hayes started a completely different line-up of Thursday’s 2-0 victory against Colombia and although the chemistry was not always perfect, there were many positive collection restaurants of the victory on the Matildas. Lynn Biyendolo (formerly Williams) scored the opening goal of the game after just 42 seconds and ended an impressive game with strong contributions from Emma Sears and Jeedyn Shaw, of whom the latter received the assist. The second goal came thanks to replacement Michelle Cooper, who scored her first international goal.
Biyendolo, one of only three starters with 60-plus caps, remains one of the most in-shape players since Hayes took over in June, but a handful of up-and-and-comers also argued for themselves on Sunday. Claire Hutton earned her first cap and first start against Australia and looked at home in the midfield of the USWNT, together with Korbin Albert and added her name to a list of impactful new midfield talent with Lily Yohannes. Cooper and Ally Sentnor, who scored her first USWNT goal on Thursday, did well after they came from the bank, while Sears and Shaw look out like starters.
Although the sample size is small, the first two games of the year offer the USWNT a sense of optimism, especially since it relates to depth. The game against Japan, however, will easily be the biggest test of an experimental team – not only do the US need a victory to win the Shebelieves Cup for the sixth time in a row, the two crooked victories of Japan to date means that They will be a stiff competition.
